Both sponsored Products and Brands allow you to target by KWs Additionally Sponsored Products allow you to leverage automatic targeting campaign, or manually target by KWs. ASIN OR Category.

 

Automatic

Amazon matched your ad with KWs and products that are similar to the product in your ad and its benefit is that you can run it easily and you become able to find KWs even you find some golden KWs. There are further four options in it;

1- Close Match: Suppose you product is "plastic soft toothbrush for sensitive teeth" We'll show an ad when shoppers use search terms like "plastic soft toothbrush" and "toothbrush for sensitive teeth".

2- Loose Match:  Suppose you product is "plastic soft toothbrush for sensitive teeth" We'll show an ad when shoppers use search terms like “brush for teeth" and "soft tooth brush for teeth".

3- Substitutes: Suppose you product is "plastic soft toothbrush for sensitive teeth" We'll show an ad on detail pages that include "soft toothbrush" and "quality toothbrush for sensitive teeth".

4- Compliments: Suppose you product is "plastic soft toothbrush for sensitive teeth" We'll show an ad we'll show an ad on detail pages that include "toothpaste for sensitive teeth" and "tooth brush holders". We use this option to discover new KWs, means we want to know either what else Search Terms are used by customers to find the same desired product.

 

*Sponsored Brands doesn't include Automatic Targeting.

 

Manual

You may choose the KWs, ASINs or categories as per your desire. And you can further refine it by price, brand and star rating.

It gives you increased control over spending’s, letting you bid more competitively on the targeted KWs which are performing well. There are some targeting options like KWs, ASINs and categories.
